news.bbc.co.uk: A member of Amy Winehouse's family has called in to a BBC Radio show to ask the press to leave the singer alone. Sue, who did not give her last name, called in to 5Live following a discussion on drugs that used the singer as an example. "Please let her finish her rehabilitation - let her try to get off the stuff and then we'll have the Amy we all want," she said. "We're just trying to carry on our lives, if possible." Sue, who called in during Phil Williams's show, said she would not usually have picked up the phone to call in, but was angry at how the 24-year-old singer was used as an example in discussions on drug use. contactmusic.com: The mother of Amy Winehouse's incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil has blasted reports her son will divorce the troubled singer - insisting he's "obsessed" with her. Last week (11May08), Georgette Civil advised Fielder-Civil to split from the Back To Black singer for good, telling him he'd be "crazy" to reunite with her once he is released from London's Pentonville Prison. Civil also recommended her son marry British receptionist Sarah Thomas, whom he has reportedly sparked up a close bond during his stint behind bars. But now, Civil has come forward to tell U.K. magazine Hello! her son will never consider taking her advice, because he loves Winehouse too much to ever let her go.

AMY SCULPTURE TO GO ON DISPLAY |

telegraph.co.uk: A sculpture of Amy Winehouse entitled Excess is going on show at a London gallery. The bronze piece shows Winehouse, complete with her trademark beehive hairstyle, sitting on top of a smashed champagne bottle. The star's body is covered with what appear to be tiny pills and she is holding a glass outstretched. A pool of liquid lies beneath the singer's feet in the work by Guy Portelli, a sculptor from Tonbridge, Kent. Another piece, Celebrity 1, a print by art student Charlotte Suckling, shows Winehouse with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. The images are going on display at the Mall Galleries in central London, as part of its annual Royal Society of British Artists exhibition. Portelli, whose previous subjects have included Bob Marley and Grace Jones, said of his work: "I think she is great. I would never make a sculpture of someone I didn't respect." The exhibition runs from May 15 to 25.
